http://www.mediafire.com/?2vn1cc64vjojn54

Track 1 - Summer Breeze / Main Ingredient
Track 2 - Adventures In The Land Of Music / Dynasty
Track 3 - My Jamaican Guy / Grace Jones
Track 4 - Enchanted Lady / Milt Jackson
Track 5 - Free Soul / John Klemmer
Track 6 - Unwind Yourself / Marva Whitney
Track 7 - The Mighty Quinn / Ramsey Lewis
Track 8 - EVA / Jean Jaques Perrey
Track 9 - Fun / Brick
Track 10 - Funky Worm / Ohio Players
Track 11 - Night Love / Jeff Lorber
Track 12 - Searching / Roy Ayers

Volume 2 of the Strictly Breaks series sticks to the same formula as Vol.1 with a pleasing selection of rare groove nuggets. The likes of Jean Jaques Perrey, The Ohio Players and Roy Ayers may have come up on your radar before but the less familiar artists provide plenty of quality aswell. I recognise "Unwind Yourself" from a sample that Z-Trip used during a live performance; I forget who has used "EVA" before (maybe Bentley Rhythm Ace?) and a portion of "Funky Worm" was used on "Soul President No.1" which appears on the "Playtime Vol.3" compilation. I'm sure these tracks and others have been sampled by numerous DJ's over the years. Thanks to the original uploader.

If you like this sort of music then you would probably love Marvin Gaye's album 'I Want You.' Good stuff, especially 'Come Live With Me, Angel.'

P.S. Easy-share isn't so easy. More like 17 minutes. :X

Yeah, I'm a bit light on data at the moment so had to use a couple of external links this week. Mediafire isn't exactly lightning quick either but at least it's fairly reliable.

I love mediafire

Mediafire is very fast. For example, a 50MB file might take just over a minute. I do despise the pop-ups though, especially that Bloomberg site which pops up sometimes when you click on the DL. But I just wipe my PC clean immediately when that crap appears, then proceed, so it's a minor inconvenience.

Your connection must be better than mine because the same sized file would usually take 7 to 10 minutes for me (and the same goes for uploads).

Well, that's pretty strange. But speaking of connection/DL speeds, I do recall the 64/128k broadband connections with reserved affection. It would take quite some time just to DL an individual song, let alone an album. And of course, who could forget the original Windows Media Player in all its framey, buffering glory? There was a site which streamed Way of the Dragon (Bruce Lee) and it was just amazing to be able to watch it on a pint-sized screen with horrible frame rate. Haha, that was great.

I actually only returned to the internet last year after a 6 or 7 year sabbatical due to the lack of a functioning computer. It's funny to think about the old days (no blogs and not a lot of life) along with the lack of speed. I myself was on 52K and can remember spending 5 hours downloading a 50mb game demo only for it to freeze at 99.9% complete. Good times.

No, what was I thinking...I was on 28K! There was a 56K service available but the ISP was charging twice as much for it. Bastards.

Holy crap! 28-freaking-K!? Man, you had it BAD. It must've been an accomplishment to even load a full page.
