Here is a special treat for you all, a truly comprehensive and utterly fab collection of KPM tracks that were used in the Spider-Man t.v series. Syd Dale and David Lindup are featured heavily with familiar names such as Hawkshaw and Pearson also being included, the musical styles range from tense strings and jazzy go-go grooves to bombastic big band numbers. Interspersed throughout are little snippets of humorous dialogue from the show which adds even more joy. The Syd Dale tracks hold the compilation together, "Quite Contrary", "The Hellraisers", "The Washington Affair" and "Not So Private Eye" are all exceptional but there is plenty more gold to be found elsewhere. I spent months trying to find a copy of this record before it was finally donated to me by one of the Funky Frolic family. Don't let this opportunity slip, it is one of the most desirable library music collections imaginable!

Your posts have been world class the last week. Thanks!
Thank you!
Only at the Frolic house could we find this treasure...thanks!
Can't wait to listen to this... thank you
I can't wait to listen to this!! I am catching up on your posts - Great stuff!
I love the Spiderman theme - my favourite being Geoff Love's instrumental cover
Frayker Breaks did a great comp of the 70s tv show a while back
But my all time great spiderman grooves have to be performed by Johnny Douglas on 'Spiderman and his Amazing Friends'! About a year ago I emailed Dulcima Records and asked them to release a compilation of his incidental music from the show but didn't get a reply (not surprising I guess)
Thanks again!
Budd
Thanks for all the comments folks!!
@Budd - I don't think I have that Frayker comp but I do have the awesome "Amazing Spiderman OST" which I'll post sometime.
Just discovered your amazing blog and I am really exited about the few posts I have seen on your first page already...will be catching up and back of course. Thanks so much for all your hard work...
This is great! I love KPM tunes!!
I think the ost you are talking about may be the one I was thinking of.. Is it a fantastic wah wah fest?? If so that's it! If you find the Johnny Douglas tracks please let me know!
Yep, lots of wah wah with a really strong porn groove vibe. Spidey got real sexy there for a while! I'll try to post it sooner rather than later and will keep an eye out for the Richard Douglas stuff. Cheers.
Sorry, Johnny Douglas!
thanks for this one! i've come across many collections of old Spidey music and this one is quite thorough. tho i must say, without fail all of the collections are always missing many of the "key" themes that were used time and again. i'm sure they were library tracks, but from where ... who knows?
thanks for this! i was just watching the cartoon tonight, and i was commenting on how jazzy and beatnik-ish the music is. awesome. thanks a million.
Thank you!!
I've also been looking (for years!) the Johnny Douglas score for Spiderman and his Amazing Friends.
good look
Groovy lookin' sound. Thanks for sharing it with us! (and for all the other stuff here at the blog too! )
right on, brother. a million thanks!!
This is a *recompressed* version of the original MP3 captures. Unfortunate. It sounds like ass.
This rip was kindly donated to me and I was very grateful. A better quality version can be found by purchasing the CD.
Any chance of posting this again for download? The link seems dead.
I'll try to find time on the weekend to do that for you.
mediafire doesn't work anymore apparently
Any luck on a re-up for this. Much appreciated.
Yes, please re up this one... Thanks ;-)
