The title of this compilation is a bit misleading because the music doesn't really evoke images of space exploration or martian landscapes ( for me at least ). Instead it is a mostly interesting collection of psychedelic tinged library music tracks from labels such as Patchwork, Telemusic, Vendette and Crea Sound amongst others. Coventional and electronic instruments combine well on groovy numbers such as "Cutting The Funk", "Shut Up" and "Equilibrium". The second half of the album has some real gems with Yan Tregger's "Sun Adoration" and "Space People" from Spacial & Co. Vol.2 being the highlights in my opinion. There's even a couple of vocal tracks thrown in which is fairly unusual for a library comp. It all adds up to a strange and very worthwhile trip into 1970's production music.
